Inpatient Care

Providing care in a beautiful state-of-the-art environment

The Don & Marilyn Anderson Agrace HospiceCare Center

The Ellen & Peter Johnson Agrace HospiceCare Residence

Most Agrace HospiceCare patients receive care right in their homes, residential or skilled nursing facilities and never utilize our inpatient care center. However, Agrace HospiceCare has been blessed with a generous community that has donated money to build the largest hospice facility in the Midwest. Located in Madison, the inpatient unit is available to all patients served by Agrace HospiceCare.

The Don & Marilyn Anderson Agrace HospiceCare Center and the Ellen & Peter Johnson Agrace HospiceCare Residence combine state-of-the-art technology with a beautiful, homelike setting to provide three levels of care.

General inpatient care is short-term, intensive medical care by the Agrace HospiceCare team to manage symptoms.

Respite care provides the family caregiver(s) a break from in-home caregiving for up to five days.

Residential care is for hospice patients who would like the option of living on the Agrace HospiceCare campus— a homelike yet state-of-the-art medical environment. (Agrace HospiceCare also has contracts with several hospitals and long-term care facilities to provide general inpatient, respite and residential care.)

Interested in Residential Care?
Take the next step: call Agrace HospiceCare to discuss residential care with a member of our Admissions Team. They will be able to answer your questions, whether it’s over the phone or in your home. Though hospice services are covered, residential room and board is not paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, Agrace HospiceCare uncompensated care or most private insurances. Some long-term insurance plans may pay for a portion of residential care.
