(MADISON, WI) – On Friday, June 25, Agrace HospiceCare. will host “Insights on the Hmong Culture: A Focus on Healthcare and End of Life,” from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Agrace HospiceCare Campus, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, in Madison.  At this free seminar, participants will learn about the culture, religion and communication of the Hmong people and how the Hmong community approaches healthcare and end-of-life. The seminar will be presented by Charles Vue, MSSW, the Student Services Coordinator for the UW – Eau Claire Office of Multicultural Affairs and Leon Bernido, MSSW, RN and Agrace HospiceCare staff member.
Participants are welcome to bring their lunch to the seminar. A certificate of attendance is available. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday, June 23; because space is limited, reservations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. The conference will be shown via videoconference in Agrace HospiceCare’s Janesville office, 3001 W. Memorial Drive.
