MADISON, Wis. – Starting in October, Agrace HospiceCare. will host “Living Well with Chronic Conditions.” This six-week, Stanford University-designed workshop helps adults with any chronic health condition better manage their lives by learning new approaches, setting action goals and working to meet those goals in a supportive environment. This effective program is held on Tuesdays, October 18 through November 22, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Agrace HospiceCare., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison. These workshops are sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging of Dane County and are facilitated by two trained leaders. Participants will learn about techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation; appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance; appropriate use of medications; communicating effectively with family, friends and health professionals; nutrition and how to evaluate new treatments.
